About Dalkey Island

Dalkey Island sits less than 300 metres from the Coliemore Harbour slipway in south County Dublin, making it one of the most accessible boat dives in Ireland. The rocky reefs around the island shelter inquisitive grey seals that will follow divers throughout the dive, while thick beds of kelp and encrusting anemones provide a backdrop at 5–18m depth. It's an ideal site for recently qualified divers looking to gain confidence in open water, and a perennial favourite for PADI and SAA clubs based in the capital.
