About Hen and Chicks
Hen and Chicks is a cluster of reef pinnacles off the Pembrokeshire coast, rising from 28m with strong tidal currents that keep them swept clean and encrusted in life. The rocky terrain drops through crevices and overhangs covered in sponge, sea fans and jewel anemones; large wrasse patrol the tops; and the exposed position delivers the crystal Atlantic visibility that makes Pembrokeshire famous. This is a boat dive requiring careful tide timing — the window of slack is short but worth catching.
