About Skomer Island

Skomer Island is a Marine Conservation Zone and the jewel of Welsh diving. Its submarine landscape — the wreck of the Lucy at 20m, Atlantic grey seal playgrounds, sea fan gardens and nudibranch meadows in a 12–42m depth range — attracts divers from across the UK. Puffins nest on the surface in summer while seals investigate divers below; the site is protected but accessible by charter from Martins Haven. Visibility frequently reaches 10–15m in the clear Pembrokeshire water, making Skomer a rival for any dive destination in Britain.
