About Martins Haven

Martins Haven is the narrow cove that gives access to Skomer Island Marine Conservation Zone — the departure point for most Skomer charter dives, but also a productive shore dive in its own right. The rocky reef descends to 30m directly from the beach through sea fan gardens, scallop beds and sponge-encrusted terrain with clear water and moderate tidal influence. Otters are sometimes seen on the shoreline above while grey seals patrol the entry point below; it's a rich, accessible site with the great advantage of a car park and launching slipway.
