About Selsey Bill

Selsey Bill on the West Sussex coast is the gateway to some of the most productive wreck and reef diving in the English Channel. The Mixon Hole — a scour depression at 24–27m just offshore — concentrates fish in extraordinary density: turbot, brill, huge bass and lobsters of notable size shelter in the sandwave troughs. The offshore reefs extend into multi-level terrain at 6–27m with good vis on settled spring and autumn days. South coast dive operators run regular charters from Selsey to Outer Owers and the historic wrecks of the Western Approaches.
