About St Kilda
St Kilda is 70km west of the Outer Hebrides in the open Atlantic — a UNESCO dual World Heritage Site (natural and cultural) and the most remote dive destination in the British Isles. The submerged cliffs and walls descend past 45m in pristine Arctic-influenced water; visibility can exceed 30m; and the marine life — including huge pollock and saithe schools, blue and mako sharks in summer, and minke whales — reflects a site with virtually no fishing or diver pressure. Access requires a liveaboard or a fast charter in a settled weather window from Leverburgh.
