About Dingle Peninsula

The Dingle Peninsula pushes into the Atlantic from County Kerry, offering coves, offshore reefs and wreck diving across a 60km stretch of coastline. Fungie the bottlenose dolphin made Dingle famous — though since his disappearance in 2020, common dolphins still visit the bay regularly. Kelp forests down to 15m give way to open sand at deeper shelves, and the scattered wrecks of fishing vessels and cargo ships provide structure for large pollock and ling populations. Vis frequently tops 10m in settled summer weather.
