About Redcar & Cleveland Coast

The Redcar and Cleveland coast runs along the North Yorkshire and Teesside shoreline, with accessible shore dives onto reef and wreck terrain at 6–20m in the North Sea. The sites are undervisited compared to southern England, offering the prospect of relatively undisturbed reefs and wrecks from two World Wars. Visibility can vary but settled summer conditions produce 5–8m of clear water, and the numerous shallow wrecks provide good diving for those willing to explore outside the popular South Coast circuit.
